The Prosper Education Foundation is pleased to offer a grant opportunity for Prosper ISD teachers, instructional paraprofessionals, counselors, and librarians. This year, $80,000 in grant funding will be available to staff at all campuses. Grants will be considered for projects that can be completed within the 2024–2025 school year. All grant funds must be used within the school year and provide enough time to fully measure the success of the projects. The Grant cycle will open on August 19th at 8:00 a.m. and close on September 9th at 5:00 p.m. Funds will be awarded by November 2024, and a final report will be due by April 1, 2025.
PEF is looking to fund projects that promote promising ideas that touch those we are here to serve—students! This is a competitive grant process, as we do not expect to have enough funds available to grant all requests. Applicants can submit only one application for the 2024–2025 school year, but can submit a grant request in another year regardless of approval this year. Please note that materials funded through these grants must stay on the campus identified in the application process.
Grants can be submitted for a team of teachers; however, the maximum amount that can be requested is $1,000 per teacher. Grants requiring funds beyond the stated maximum will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants seeking funds as a team should apply as a team. In the case of a team submission, the maximum amount allowed would increase with the number of applicants on the team.
For example, if a team of four 2nd-grade teachers at one campus all wish to have a set of reading materials, the maximum amount of the grant would be 4 x $1,000 = $4,000. If the team of four teachers is each requesting a set of materials worth $800, the amount for the grant request would be 4 x $800 = $3,200. All four teachers should submit one application for the total amount of the project. Please note the names of all teachers applying for the grant in the application.
All applications must be approved by the campus principal. Applications requesting hardware, software, or web tools must be approved by the Prosper ISD technology department. Those approval requests are part of the PEF Grant Application. Please visit the application to view the grant guidelines.
Our thanks to CoServ, Huckabee Inc., Welch HVAC, Neu Plumbing, Park Place Lexus of Plano, Pogue Construction, and the Prosper community for funding the Prosper Education Foundation’s Promoting Promising Ideas Teacher Grant program!
